What do I need to have to open an account?
You will need a valid ID (driver’s license, passport/passport card, military ID, non-driver identification), employment information, Social Security Numbers for any designated beneficiaries, and the funding for your account.
How much do I have to deposit to open an account?
You can open a savings account with a minimum opening deposit of just $5. The savings account establishes your membership with the credit union and is required to open an any additional accounts.
You can open a checking account with a minimum opening deposit of $25.
Do I have to visit a branch to open an account?
No, you can open accounts online here.
Can I open an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) online?
IRAs must be opened in-person at a branch.
Can a joint account be opened online?
Yes, accounts with joint owners can be opened online with the same documentation requirements as for a primary owner.
How do I open a savings account for my children?
You can create an account online by clicking here or visiting your local branch. You will need their Social Security Number, date of birth, and current address as well as your current ID.
Checking Accounts
If I have enough money in my account, can I pay a $2,500 bill with my debit card?
Our standard debit card daily limit is $7,500, so the answer is yes.
However, in an effort to protect our members against potential fraud, we’d love to have someone at your local branch talk with you before you use a debit card to pay such a large bill.
We also recommend paying with a credit card instead of a debit card when paying a bill online as protection against potentially fraudulent websites.
How much money can I get out of an ATM Plus+ machine in cash?
If funds are available, you may withdraw up to $1,000 without speaking to a live teller. If you need to withdraw more, you may withdraw up to $1,500 if you speak to a live teller.
How can I get a new debit card quickly?
Just stop by your local branch, and we can make you a new card while you wait.
Is there a fee to get a new debit card?
Debit cards are replaced free of charge if they are damaged, stolen, or compromised by a fraudulent transaction. For misplaced cards, there is a $7.00 fee.
My debit card is about to expire. How do I get a new one?
If you use your card regularly, one will be mailed to you before your current one expires.
If you do not use it regularly, you may not receive one automatically. In that case, simply visit your local branch and a new card can be made for you.
I lost my card. How do I freeze it?
You can do this in online banking. Simply log in to your account then select “Card Services” then “Card Management.” Beside the image of your card, click the box below “Freeze/Unfreeze the card below or tap the card for details.”
How do I activate a new debit card?
There should be a number on the back of the card, but you can also call 1.855.477.1156 to activate your card and then set up your PIN.

I reported a fraudulent transaction/stolen debit card. How do I unfreeze my card?
To protect your account, when a debit card is reported as stolen or a card transaction is reported as fraudulent, the card is permanently disabled. You will need to get a new debit card. You can stop by your local branch at your convenience to have a new card printed. You may also call 1.888.AVADIAN (1.888.282.3426) or send us a message inside online banking to have a card mailed to you.

Transaction Disputes
I didn’t make this transaction that’s showing up on my account. How do I dispute a transaction?
To dispute a transaction or transactions, simply log in to online and mobile banking and click the option symbol (three vertical dots) to the right of the transaction line and select “Dispute Transactions.”
You’ll then be asked to confirm that you want to dispute the transaction(s) by clicking “Dispute transactions” and to review the disputed transaction(s) and provide the necessary information about your account, your card, and why you’re disputing the transaction.
You can follow your claim in online and mobile banking. Typically, it takes five to 10 business days to resolve your claim. You will receive a letter with the final result of your claim.

How do I order checks?
If you are online banking user, simply log in, and you will be able to order checks under “Account Actions” then “Check Reorder.”
You can also order checks at your local branch or mail us the reorder form that came with your checks.
How do I dispute an ATM transaction?
You can dispute a transaction right from online and mobile banking. Log in, then click on the transaction in question, then the three dots beside the amount and then select “Dispute transactions.”

Yes, but you may face penalties for doing so.
How do I close an account?
To close an account, visit your local branch or call 1.888.AVADIAN (1.888.282.3426).
How do I verify my new debit card for Apple Pay?
You should be able to do everything needed inside Mobile Wallet on your Apple device.
How do I transfer money to a PayPal card?
You have to set up transfers to a PayPal card from your PayPal account. Once you log in to your PayPal account, you will link that account to your Avadian account (you will be required to use your Avadian log-in credentials so make sure you are using the official PayPal account) to transfer money back and forth.
How do I stop a payment on a check?
You can request a stop payment on a check using online and mobile banking by selecting Account Actions>Stop Payment. You can also call 1.888.AVADIAN (1.888.282.3426) or stop by your local branch to request a stop payment.
How do I add someone to my account?
